# Portable Teleporter

## Overview

The Portable Teleporter is a rechargeable handheld GPS device that lets you open your waypoint teleport menu from anywhere.

## Usage

Right-click while holding the Portable Teleporter to access your own waypoint network.
Each use consumes 10 charge, and the item can hold up to 50 charge.

## Requirements

* You need useful GPS progress already set up, especially waypoints created with the [[gps_marker_tool|GPS Marker Tool]].
* A reliable [[gps_transmitter|GPS Transmitter]] network gives your travel setup the infrastructure it needs.
* Without waypoints, the Portable Teleporter has nowhere useful to send you.

## Recharging

Because it is a rechargeable item, you can refill it in a [[charging_bench|Charging Bench]].

## Good uses

* Returning to player-made waypoints during long trips
* Carrying a personal travel tool instead of placing a teleporter block
* Quick travel for exploration, construction, and maintenance work
