# GPS Marker Tool

## Overview

The GPS Marker Tool is the simplest way to create waypoints for yourself.

## Usage

Right-click a block face with the GPS Marker Tool.
Slimefun uses the adjacent space you clicked toward as the waypoint location and then asks you to create a waypoint there.

## Good uses

* Marking bases, farms, mines, and travel hubs
* Creating destinations for the [[portable_teleporter|Portable Teleporter]]
* Setting up waypoint networks for a [[gps_teleportation_matrix|GPS Teleporter Matrix]]

## Notes

* The GPS Marker Tool is not placed as a block.
* It is best used before you start building your travel network, since teleporter tools need waypoints to be useful.
